I read a review which said it was so bad it was good. I disagree. It's not a good movie. It's not a good movie at all. But, I have to admit that it is so odd that the movie does not belong in the "good" section of the movie rating. What was it supposed to be? A straight-forward horror/thriller? An adventure film? A fun movie? Something different? The answer is none of these things. It's just a bad movie. The story is nothing but a bad dream that the lead character, Jonathan, is having. The story starts out with Jonathan waking up to find a house in flames, but things take a completely different turn when he starts to have these horrible hallucinations. Jonathan thinks he is having a nightmare and he is only trying to make his life a little easier. But, he is not really happy with what he is experiencing. Jonathan is not alone in his life. There is another person named Hank, who is the landlord for the place. Jonathan wants to evict Hank and wants to kill him as well. This is where the story begins to get interesting. Jonathan starts to think he is in a dream, so he decides to put the pieces together. It is a good idea, but the story does not really do it for me. I don't know what the director was trying to do with the movie. Maybe he was trying to make it scary, but I don't think so. The story is way too simple. The reason why I said that was because I really don't like the idea of being in a dream. I don't really like that idea. I mean, it sounds really cool. But, I just don't think it works that well. The only thing that I think would be really cool about it is that it would be very unique. I know it sounds very good, but I still don't think it would work. Anyway, the movie is just too damn ordinary for me to enjoy. I really just didn't like it, and I can't say why. I guess the reason is because the movie is just not a very good movie. The characters are not very good, the acting is average, and the effects are not very good. I really didn't like it. If the director wanted to make a film, he should have tried to make something that I would actually enjoy watching. This movie is so ordinary that it's not even worth seeing. I would rather have seen a movie that is good and interesting than this one.

Despite the poorly dubbed dubbing, this film is in every way a must see for fans of horror, with the otherworldly tones and eerie visuals, there is a very real feeling of dread and unease. I was entranced from start to finish, as this movie was very well made. The characters are well defined, there is a sense of believability and even though the story has a few inconsistencies, this never detracted from the enjoyment of the film. I found it a bit weird how the roles were cast for the characters. In the movie, I would assume that Jesse and Patrick were very close friends, but there was no real indication as to whether they were actually friends, or whether they were merely very close. However, there is one scene in the movie that clearly indicates that the characters are brothers, and I was not able to deny it in my mind. The acting is very good all round. I found it hard to believe that a director like Bader couldn't cast a good actor in the lead role, and it's definitely the best part of the film. I really enjoyed the dialogue, it was very well written and felt very real. The cinematography and editing is also top notch, the film is very nicely shot, but there are a few scenes that are a bit off, but I found it to be an extremely minor flaw. Overall, I enjoyed this movie, and I strongly recommend that you watch it, but be prepared to have a little difficulty in getting through it. However, if you do go and watch it, I would strongly recommend that you watch the original English language version. It has a much better dubbing, and is much more realistic.
