Despite the poorly dubbed dubbing, this film is in every way a must see for fans of horror, with the otherworldly tones and eerie visuals, there is a very real feeling of dread and unease. I was entranced from start to finish, as this movie was very well made. The characters are well defined, there is a sense of believability and even though the story has a few inconsistencies, this never detracted from the enjoyment of the film. I found it a bit weird how the roles were cast for the characters. In the movie, I would assume that Jesse and Patrick were very close friends, but there was no real indication as to whether they were actually friends, or whether they were merely very close. However, there is one scene in the movie that clearly indicates that the characters are brothers, and I was not able to deny it in my mind. The acting is very good all round. I found it hard to believe that a director like Bader couldn't cast a good actor in the lead role, and it's definitely the best part of the film. I really enjoyed the dialogue, it was very well written and felt very real. The cinematography and editing is also top notch, the film is very nicely shot, but there are a few scenes that are a bit off, but I found it to be an extremely minor flaw. Overall, I enjoyed this movie, and I strongly recommend that you watch it, but be prepared to have a little difficulty in getting through it. However, if you do go and watch it, I would strongly recommend that you watch the original English language version. It has a much better dubbing, and is much more realistic.
