This was one of the best action movies I have seen in a long time. I am not the biggest fan of Vin Diesel and I don't know who they are aiming at, but I thought they did a really good job. It was nice to see Will Smith play a bad guy, as he does in many other movies. However, I have to say that I didn't find him as intimidating as he is in a lot of his other movies. I guess that's because he just doesn't fit the stereotype. If I'm to nitpick, I would say that the CG was somewhat over-used, but that is only because I was not expecting a lot from it. I love that the effects used were kept as low as they were, which gives the movie a more realistic feel, even though the effects have nothing to do with the plot or the action. Overall, it is a very nice movie and I am sure that it will go down in history as a great action movie. It is one of the better movies I have seen in a long time, and I recommend that you watch it if you like action movies. In all, you should not hesitate to watch this movie.

I enjoy movies like this and The Matrix a lot. With that said, this movie does not hold a candle to the Matrix. In fact, it is not even close. It is a basic popcorn flick that has been done so many times before. The acting was decent, the special effects were amazing and the story was good. The only thing that held this movie back was the boring middle and the slow, weak finale. I'm sure that every movie fan out there has seen the ending from a million different angles and had the same feel on it. In the end, this movie was a good watch. I have a few more movies to watch. I did not like this movie so much that I gave it a 1, but I will add it to my collection and buy it when it comes out on DVD. It was better than The Matrix but I would not recommend watching the "Secret Formula". I did like Matrix a lot. Its just not nearly as good as Secret Formula. It was a good watch.

A top-secret agent is promoted after losing an arm during the first strike on a terrorist facility. He is sent into the middle of a war zone in Africa to clear out a group of terrorists, led by a dastardly villain. The only way to survive is to travel back to the US, but he has a time limit. Unfortunately, the facility where the heroes are fighting is being overrun by the bad guys. So they must destroy everything that isn't there. Sounds dull, and it is. I like the fact that this movie features some amazing action sequences. There is enough action to keep the action fan happy, but not so much that it becomes too repetitive. Unfortunately, the story is sort of confusing, since most of it takes place outside of the facility. Overall, it is an okay movie. Not a great film, but certainly good enough for a slow-paced "action movie" that doesn't try to compete with the action. This movie has great special effects, excellent cinematography, and an interesting story. It is one of those movies where you will have your own opinion on whether it is good or bad, but you will want to watch it at least once.

Very faithful adaptation of the best-selling novel, along with a few nice surprises. Fantastic special effects, thanks to Craig Zobel. Solid acting from both leading actors and the supporting cast. This was not the worst science fiction film of the year (with out the dubious honor of "Plan 9 From Outer Space"). I think the film was made for a more adult audience, and I can see that. I really liked the ending with Annabeth Gish, though. I'll be looking for more films of this genre in the future.

I'll admit, I saw the trailer of this movie for the first time a few weeks ago and was not impressed by it at all. The trailer makes it seem like an action movie and it doesn't really live up to the hype. I've heard mixed comments about this movie and still haven't seen it. I decided to watch it today and decided it was worth the time. I think what got me into this movie is the title. I read that the writers originally planned to give it a different title from the original movie and thus change the tone of it. However, when they started writing the script for this film, they decided to name the movie "First Contact" and changed the entire name to "First Contact: Return of the Insurgent". This seemed to fit the movie better because it stuck out the more you think about it. I think this is the first time that I have ever watched a movie after watching the trailer and just felt the movie wasn't worth watching. After you see the trailers for many movies, you think you know the plot. After you see the trailer, you don't know if the movie will live up to the hype. However, this movie was very different from the trailers and it wasn't a complete disappointment. Overall, it's a very exciting movie and I can't wait to see it again. I give the movie an 8 out of 10.

One of the greatest sci-fi movies ever made. The acting is brilliant. This is one of the most enjoyable movies you can see. The special effects are amazing. This movie is great for people who like action, sci-fi, horror, and adventure.

This is one of the best sequels since Independence Day. Since this movie is based on a comic, it is a pretty good comic book adaptation, which has similarities to a whole host of other comic book films. It really keeps you guessing and the villain is pretty good, with lots of good characterization and villainy. I particularly enjoyed the final showdown between Sam and Caesar, and the good things about this movie, is the development of some major conflicts between Sam and Caesar's characters. I really enjoyed how it all ties into the final issue of the series, and the best thing about this film, is that it sets up for a potential continuation of the series, as we know how Sam and Caesar's relationship is going to turn out. So if you are a fan of the comic, this movie is a good one to see, and you should see it with friends, as it's a great way to start the year off. I also suggest you see this movie if you like the series, I gave it an 8/10. 8/10

From the director of the brilliant Vamp and the awesome Mummy films, comes another vampire film. It's all a bit old hat but still awesome with a great supporting cast. I thought the look of the film was quite cool. The red and white colour scheme was a great touch and was a very nice contrast to the dark and bright colors of the rest of the film. With a unique story, a unique concept and great effects, it was a great film to watch. The only down-side was the script. The dialogue was very forced and didn't really make any sense. Some of the jokes were rather awkward and the most prominent of them were rather easy. Another problem was that the story had a lot of action. The plot is very generic and very predictable. The whole idea of a blood rich vampire who can literally absorb the life force of any living thing, especially a person, is somewhat stupid. The vampires in this film are also pretty stupid but that doesn't matter because they still have a cool style and look to them. The costumes are great and the effects are amazing. I could go on and on about how the special effects are so good but I'll save that for a future review. Overall, the film was pretty good but not as good as the other vampire films from this director. This one does have it's flaws but overall it is one of the better vampire films of the year. It is a great follow-up to the above mentioned Vampire movies and should definitely be seen by fans of the genre. For me, Vampire Night is still one of my favorite vampire films and one of my top five vampire films. I rate it 8/10.

This movie is a perfect example of how great action movies can be made. This movie was great for me because I saw it on a movie theatre. I would have probably avoided it if I had a local theater. The action was good but I didn't really notice it because I saw it at home. The movie had good effects, the acting was great, and the special effects were fantastic. This movie is probably the best movie of 2001. Don't worry if you are not familiar with the series, you will enjoy it more when you are. It was a great movie for all ages. I recommend this movie to anyone who likes action movies and doesn't mind watching a lot of them.

I remember reading the other reviews here, and thought I would give this film a chance. After all, I do enjoy sci-fi movies. I thought I would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. This is not an action movie. If you want some fast paced action, go ahead and rent the movie. This is more of a slow paced story of trust. It isn't just another sci-fi movie, I think it could be seen as a documentary on a space mission gone wrong, with the only difference is that the mission was intentionally flawed. (One thing I will say, that I liked was the minimal use of CGI, but this isn't the same as saying that they were wrong, and not on purpose). In the end, the film had it's flaws, but it was really refreshing to see a sci-fi movie that is a little more original and different. You do need to suspend your disbelief a little bit and find that the film holds some pretty original elements. The acting was good. James Marsden was amazing, but the other two actors really stood out. Now, the story was really unique. I think the character development was good, and the movie was relatively suspenseful. The action was really good, even though some of it was predictable. The space battle was intense, and I thought it was a good way to tie the story together. The whole film had an almost sci-fi feel to it, and it was really great to see a film with this much heart. The only thing I can say is that the story was a little more convoluted than I would have liked. This is something that I will try to understand in the next viewing of the film. Overall, a very refreshing movie, and one that I recommend.

I remember seeing this movie when it was first released in the theater. I was a huge fan of Bruce Campbell at the time, but I didn't like it then. It's a good movie, but not one I would put on my top ten. All things considered, it's a solid movie. I don't mind seeing a movie that is historically inaccurate, even if it's not accurate. The cast is excellent, and the acting was not in my opinion the worst thing in the movie. The special effects were very good, and it had some great visual effects. This movie certainly isn't the worst ever, but it isn't the best either. That's just my opinion. It's a very good movie, but I just can't help but feel that it could have been better.

I didn't expect much from this movie but I was pleasantly surprised. The story is a bit complex but not too much so that it becomes a bore. The acting is excellent and the special effects are very well done. The movie is definitely worth a watch if you like sci-fi movies.

This movie is not a sequel to The Fifth Element, nor is it a remake of the fifth Element. This movie is not even about the fifth Element. It is the story of humanity as it is. The movie also makes references to the fifth Element which are never seen again in the movie. Like the leader of the G-men, how they made the leader of the G-men, etc. This is a very cerebral movie with a lot of philosophical debates about the meaning of life, the meaning of birth, etc. You'll have a hard time understanding it, but I would highly recommend you watch it. I have never seen a movie with the budget of this movie and the production value of this movie, so it is definitely not a Hollywood production. And if you are a hard-core fan of The Fifth Element or a good movie fanatic, I think you'll enjoy this movie.

I watched this movie a couple of years ago on TV and i was hooked from the start. It is a great Sci-fi film that is not to be missed. The cast is great and the cast members are all very talented. The action sequences are great and the film has a great story to it. I really like the film and I would recommend it to anyone. If you like sci-fi films then I would recommend this film to you. I give it an 8 out of 10.

I've watched several action/sci-fi movies like Commando (1987) and Star Trek (2009) and so I can appreciate how they're supposed to look and how they're supposed to sound and how they're supposed to be like those movies but, I haven't really seen a movie that had such bad actors who couldn't act properly. It was like they were out of their depth in every way. In spite of that, this movie is still an enjoyable one that offers enough surprises to keep you interested. The acting by David Caruso, Omar Sharif, Gabriel Macht, Jr., and Jonathan Tropper is uniformly good. They're quite believable in this role. Cameron Diaz is slightly effective as the hyper-kinetic female lead. On the other hand, Kevin Bacon isn't quite as menacing in his role as the alien antagonist. He is impressive and menacing in a more mysterious way but it seems to be just too much for his supporting cast to carry off. What really carried this movie is the score. The music by Andrew Curtis is a great choice to set the mood in this sci-fi action movie. In a way, this film is a good remake of Alien. It's a wonderful blend of horror and sci-fi. It doesn't always have the strong story of Alien but, it has that blend. Just like Aliens and even Alien 3, this movie is a great adaptation. This movie is really a sequel to Aliens, which is probably a more action oriented sci-fi movie than this movie. Also, Aliens is better than this movie at many things but it's not that good as well.

This movie is not so great, as some people think. But I don't want to really spoil the movie for you, so I will just tell you that the movie is very stylish and it does have a great story. The action is good. And it's better than some other action movies that were released. That's why I give it a 8/10. If you haven't seen it, go see it. Enjoy.

This is an excellent movie with a great cast. Everything worked out as it should for a movie that is considered as the biggest science fiction movie since Alien. There is a good balance between action, romance and drama. I also liked the ending, which I didn't expect, but was a surprise.

This movie is definitely not a great movie. It is an okay movie, but not a great movie. The movie is more of a Sci-Fi Thriller and it does have some action in it. But the movie is not one of the best movies I have seen. The acting is okay, the plot is not very good, the special effects are not very good, the story is not very good, and the movie is not very good. The movie is not a good movie, but it is a very good movie. 8/10
