Description BACK TO THE FATHERLAND is a documentary film that tells the story of young people leaving their home country to try their luck somewhere else. A common tale these days if these young women and men weren't from Israel and if they wouldn't be moving to Germany and Austria, where their families were persecuted and killed.

From the opening of the camera, the audience can tell that the film is not about a political party or a party leader, but a simple family man, and a teacher who has been teaching in school for twenty years. As a former teacher himself, I can say that these are the most valuable lessons taught in schools. Unfortunately, today's educational system seems more like a bureaucracy with no sense of teaching and more like a bureaucracy with no sense of teaching. The teacher's main mission is to be the first to arrive at the new school in the morning, the last to be the last to leave in the evening, and the first to go to bed in the morning. It seems that this is what they do. The school has a hierarchy, and if you are not the first, you are in the last. The teacher's own two children seem to be just as much in the first as in the last. They are not very bright, but they try hard. The teacher is told to behave like a model, like a good teacher. And when I read that the teacher is about to be the first one to leave the school, I could not help thinking that this was the end of the film. In the beginning of the film, the teacher was asked to go to a new school. If he would have remained in the same school, he would have lost the respect of the entire school. He would have been a pest, and could not have carried on teaching for another twenty years. But what is the use of the school? It is empty. The teacher's wife has left him. The father is sick. There is no future for the daughter. What a waste of the whole school! This is a very well told story about a man who knows what he is about, but he has no confidence in himself. He knows that he has been a good teacher, but he wants to be something more. He is an old man, but he is a good father. The film was great, and I will buy it when it is released. I recommend it to anyone who wants to see a true story.
