The strength of this movie lies in the subtlety of the acting, in the range of emotions the actors all bring to the table. I am not sure what it is about this film that is so successful. Perhaps it is the beauty of the locations, the atmosphere that is evoked in the film, the subtlety of the direction, the skill of the camera-work, or maybe it is just the authenticity of the actors. It is all of these things, and it is all excellent. All the actors in this film are great. I am not sure how you can pick out a performance without first watching this film. I am not sure I have ever seen a film that has such a strong ensemble of great actors, and yet so few of them are played by the same actors in the same roles. They all do a great job, and I could not tell who was doing what. The strongest performance I saw was Michelle Pfeiffer's. The scenes she is in are extremely powerful, and she does a wonderful job of moving the story forward. Her character is very different from the norm of the strong female character in American movies. She is completely different. I would not be surprised if the director, Terry Gilliam, would continue this film in the future. If I had to put one weakness in the film, I would say that the movie is very slow. It is not the movie I would have chosen for my "must see" movie. It is not a bad movie, but it could have been much better. This is not a movie to watch if you are looking for an action-packed, blockbuster movie. The acting in this film is very strong, and the acting in the rest of the film is also very strong, but the slow pacing of the movie makes it hard to stay interested. The story is great, the direction is great, the cinematography is great, but I could not get sucked into the movie until it got going. There were a few parts that I was waiting for something to happen, but it never happened. This is not a movie you would want to watch with your family, or friends. The acting is very good, but the story is not very strong. If you are looking for a movie to watch with friends and have a good time, I recommend this film.
