Description In 1968, with her otherwise brilliant career of soaring highs and plummeting lows taking a gradual descent since her golden era at Louis B. Mayer's (Richard Cordery's) Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, the universally loved American actress, singer and dancer, Judy Garland (Renée Zellweger), finds herself with her back to the wall. As a result - nearly three decades after her iconic role as "Dorothy" in The Wizard of Oz (1939) - the exhausted and struggling single mum, Judy Garland, tentatively accepts the invitation of the London impresario, Bernard Delfont (Sir Michael Gambon), to perform a five-week-long series of concerts at the Talk of the Town nightclub. However, there, amidst adoring followers and cynical critics, dangerous long-standing habits push the beloved performer to her breaking point, threatening her chance for success. Will Judy be able to overcome the demons of the past? Is there a magical land somewhere over the rainbow?

I thought this film was the best I have seen since Heat. There were many moments where I thought I was watching something from another time and place, but I really liked this one. It has the story that every woman could be depressed and wanting to kill herself. It was well written and even though it was depressing, it had a few moments where I thought "ahh! That makes sense!" I liked that this film was so realistic, with how this one woman felt after her husband dies. I loved how the film showed the real-life events that happened, especially when her daughter found the video of her dad dying, that just made me laugh and cry at the same time. I loved how the story moved slowly but well, not too fast and I liked how it took some time to get to know her, especially how she did not know him. It was sad to see her girl friend leaving for university, and then all of a sudden, her friend was a friend of her friend. She was really happy for her friend, but her friend was more depressed. She was very sad and she even asked her what she could do to get over her friend. I love how the film made you realize how much your loved ones mean to you. I thought the film was very honest and I enjoyed how the film showed how people think of the opposite sex and how the law is very strict when dealing with women's rights, especially when a woman wants to commit suicide. I thought the film did a good job at showing how society treat's women and how often times women will be the ones to end up in jail. This film was extremely realistic and I really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the characters in the film, it was not a bunch of jocks or rich people. It was really touching and made you want to know the main character, so that was pretty cool. I also loved how the film had a realistic approach to the subject matter. I also thought the ending was very realistic and touching, especially when she talked about how her daughter was going to be a doctor. Overall, I really enjoyed this film. I think it was a great way to get to know the main characters, it was very realistic. It was not too sad, it was very realistic. I think it is a great movie to see, it really does not take much to enjoy.

I liked it. This movie was a lot like my favourite book -and it could have been even better than my favourite book. The world I live in, and the world I want to live in, is very similar to the world in the book. The main character is like me. I have friends who are all sort of "different". Many of them will go on to have the same jobs, the same personal lives and be just like me, and others will have to get different jobs. Many of the problems in the book are exactly the same problems I have had, and some of the same problems the main character has had. I think this is a nice touch of telling the story of the book with the same characters. It really adds to the story, and keeps the audience in mind that it is the same world as the book. So it makes the movie a lot better. It is not a "shocking" story. It is about relationships. It is about what people need and what they cannot get. The book was about a girl growing up and getting older and her relationships with the people she meets. So, yes, it is different. But it is good different. As I said, it is good different. There are no huge holes in the plot. I liked that. It is a nice touch. The movie is a lot like the book. So what? Does it make it any better? I think not. I think you can get the same feeling from reading the book and watching the movie. But I am not a book snob, so I know that I can like it. If you don't like the book, you won't like the movie. I like both movies. So I think this is the best choice. I read the book, and I really liked the movie. So I think you should really try and see both. I give it 8/10.
