The sub-genre of entertainment known as teen suicide comedies usually revolves around three factors:: teenagers who feel they can't express themselves, a bitter co-parent relationship, and the killers. Not to mention their suicide! It's that bleak. Granted, there are a few exceptions to this rule. One of these exceptions is Sam Raimi, whose Spider-Man trilogy is nothing short of a masterclass in filmmaking. The underrated director has made a comic book about teens, utilizing the mythological qualities of the hero to create a world of cool and an underlining moral condemnation of the sadistic way the teens want to end their lives. In this fable, it's a popular myth that always takes the form of a damsel in distress. In the most popular interpretation of the legend, a damsel in distress is the person who stands in the way of the damsel in distress, who is trying to save the damsel in distress's manhood. In this story, a "girly damsel" of a high school student is the giver of advice to her damsel in distress to come out of her shell and get a life of her own. While Sam Raimi's star-studded cast including Tom Green, Nikki Reed, Jesse Eisenberg, and Ari Graynor creates a world of strange fantasy, he moves into a world of psychological reality with a redemptive tale. "Miracle on 34th Street" is about a good hearted giver of advice to a depressed girl named Jo. Jo is too depressed to even talk to her own mother, who hates her. But she is befriended by a group of teenagers who tell her she can live her life the way she wants. The men are oblivious to the issues she has in her life, but she is also aware of their feelings. But their allegiances lie in the direction she wants to take her life. And by joining the group of people she deems "normal", she finds a new friend in a man. The will of Jo is the truth about the giver of the advice, but the truth about Jo is that she needs a man. Now that she has this new life in hand, she wants to take it. So she confronts her own demons, and forces them to come out. She can't let herself out, and as a result she will take the first step in her new life. While Sam Raimi's film does not have the technological reach of the greats in the teen suicide genre, it is still a masterful film. It is a brilliant tale of friendship, tragedy, and morality. The tone is quiet, but without the undertones of typical "hollywood-style" teen suicides that children of today enjoy. This story is about an average everyday life of a high school student. Although she is an unpopular girl, she is good-hearted and willing to help people. She has a perfect job, who looks after her young sister, and knows how to do everything. She's got an interest in religion, where she plans on studying to be a nun. But it is a mess. She is depressed, and has a new boyfriend, who gets drunk and leaves her alone for three days. It seems like the "normal life" for a normal high school student
