The film opens with an intense action sequence that is nothing like any other action sequence in a movie. It's a whole lot more gruesome and brutal than any other action sequence in any movie. Once the action starts, it never lets up. The action is very well directed, too. The direction is at its best during the final battle, with several shots that are superbly filmed and edited, most notably the final shot of the helicopter. The cinematography is excellent throughout the entire movie, and it helps keep the action scenes at an appropriate pace. However, I did not find the use of constant camera-work distracting at all. The camera was used for very simple scenes, such as when the two main characters were on the hill and were looking back towards the sky, or when the three secondary characters were traveling by horse. During the final battle, however, there were a few instances when the camera went all over the place, and I did not find it distracting at all. The actors were great in their roles. The two main characters, James Franco and Juliette Binoche, were very likable and believable. They were both very realistic in their personalities and actions, and they seemed like real people. They were also very funny, and their humor was always effective. Juliette Binoche, however, had the best role of the three, and she was superb. In her role, she played her character extremely well. In the beginning, I did not like her character, but as the movie went on, she grew on me. As the movie progressed, I began to appreciate her more and more. I found her character to be very interesting, and I thought she was very intelligent. The rest of the supporting cast were great as well, with Sean Bean, Tom Wilkinson, and Ewan McGregor all being excellent in their roles. I was also very pleased to see the actors who were the villains in the movie, Michael Caine and Philip Seymour Hoffman, were not major characters in the movie. Although I did not like their characters, they did a great job in their roles. I thought they were very convincing in their roles, and they were very entertaining. In conclusion, I enjoyed this movie a great deal. The action was good, the cinematography was great, and the actors were excellent. It was an excellent movie, and I think that it will be one of the better movies of the year.
