So much about this movie is just stunning. It is one of the most original movies I've seen in a long time. The music is very special too. It really puts you into the scene and sets the mood. The fact that it is set in the 70's makes it even more interesting. The movie is about a teenager named Noah (Pierce Brosnan) who has a mom who has gone into a coma. He lives with his younger sister Mimi (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and his father (Tom Hiddleston). They live in a small house. They are raised by a strange man named Mr. Hyde (Gabriel Byrne) who tries to seduce Mimi. The two sisters run away but Mimi stays with Noah. They meet up with her parents who want her to return home. Mimi is having a little trouble adjusting to the way of the world and she meets with a doctor (Julianne Moore) who helps her understand her world. Mimi is shown an animal she thinks is a frog. She also learns to use her mind to be creative and become a "street artist". There is also an other girl who Mimi has a crush on. When they are done with her she decides to help Mimi find a job. She decides to work at a hospital where she meets a man named Toretto (Christopher Walken) who is an incredible scientist. Mimi becomes close to Toretto and the two become a couple. She also meets an alien who seems to know her name. She also meets a scientist who has an animal that looks like a penguin. Mimi finds out that she has an incredible power that makes people come to life. She goes on a journey with the doctor to find out why she has this power. She also has a great adventure with Toretto and learns more about her own powers. I love how they went with this concept and didn't use it as much as the original. They added some great effects and they show how Mimi got her powers. I think they went overboard with the effects. I would have liked to see more of the other creatures she was able to control. The movie is very graphic and it is well worth seeing.
