As a "cirque du soleil" fan, I am always looking forward to their shows, and this is definitely no exception. The performances of the performers are great, but the directing, editing, and sound are very poor. It's hard to tell what's happening, or what's being said. For example, at one point, the girl is telling the guys in the group to "be a good sport," but when the camera turns, she's walking away from the group! I didn't even know the camera was pointing at her. It's like they are recording in the dark, then they turn the camera on, and suddenly the shot is taken. The sound is also very bad. At times, it's so loud that it makes you feel like you're in a really bad stage production. Also, when the camera pans over to the performers, it is very hard to tell what is going on. The music is also very distracting. For example, when a singer is singing, the music is super loud, and you can barely hear what he's saying. Also, it's very hard to tell what the characters are saying. For example, the girls are singing about their "crazy" dad, and it's hard to tell what they're saying. The editing is also very bad. When the camera pans over to the performers, it is very hard to tell what's going on. There are a few scenes that are very good, but the rest of the movie is very poor. It's like they had a really good idea for a movie, and they decided to cut out a bunch of scenes and put it together in a really bad way. Overall, the movie is a mixed bag. The acting is great, but the editing, sound, and direction are so bad, it's hard to tell what's happening. If you like Cirque du Soleil, I recommend you see this movie, because it's a great experience, but if you don't like the Cirque du Soleil shows, it's not a great movie experience.
